He Never Lets Go

He Never Lets Go By Ava Grace  Oh no, You never let go Through the calm and through the storm  Oh no, You never let go Every high and every low  Oh no, You never let go Lord You never let go of me And I can see the light that is coming For the heart that holds on A glorious light beyond all compare And there will be an end to all these troubles  But until that day comes  We'll live to know You're here on the earth Cause I will fear no evil For my God is with me  These glorious words come to us from the song You Never Let Go by AJ Michalka and James Denton.  Why should we fear? What do we have to fear? Why are we afraid? We should never be afraid, because we know that God is with us. He is for us. He will never leave us. He will never forsake us.  This is just one of the great things of belonging to a God as awesome as ours is. He bought us with the blood of His Son, and all we have to do is believe and have faith that He is our Redeemer.  Yes, we will always struggle with fear,

Again and Again

Again and Again By Ava Grace  Over and over again Staring at a mountain thought I had already climbed The weight of my mistakes old my down  Like I'm  paralyzed How many times have I asked for grace Standing in the same broken place I've given You every good reason to walk away But somehow You choose me Over and over again These lyrics come to us from the song Over and Over by Riley Clemmons and Lauren Alaina. I think we all know what its like to be the person of these words. We're broken and lost and have no one to turn to. And we turn to God, thinking 'How on earth does He even want to help me again ??' We've all messed up. And that's ok.  We think that God must have a limit to how many times He can help a person out.  Wrong.  Utterly, completely wrong.  He comes back again and again and again because He cares. He cares about me. He cares about you. He cares about the baby that will be born three months from now. He cares about the grandmother who sits in

Put The Color in My Eyes

Put The Color in My Eyes By Ava Grace  The same God Who makes the planets spin Tells the tide when it should rise Put the color in my eyes The same God Who makes the seasons change Knows the number of the stars Every secret in my heart How true are these words? Yes, the same God Who makes the entire universe work knows what color my eyes are.  How absolutely, crazily wonderful is that? It is also a little overwhelming.  The same God Who makes the leaves turn bright yellow and deep red in the fall, the same God Who makes the world come back to life in the spring, knows every thought of my heart and every word out of my mouth.  To be honest, it is also really scary.  What Hannah Kerr does in her song, Same God, is point out that knows who we are- and He cares about us. Deeply.  She goes on to say this: You're a God of grace and empathy You know how it feels to cry 'Cause you lived a human life You're not afraid of anything Even darkness is a light There's not reason I sh

He Knows More

He Knows More By Ava Grace  I thought I did what's right I thought I had the answers I thought I chose the surest road But that road brought me here So I put a fight And told You how to help me Now just when I have given up The truth is coming clear This first verse comes from the song Better Than I by Dallyn Vail Bayles, and is it ever so true. We think we know what is right. We think we know it all. We can choose- after all, we have the power  to choose.  But that doesn't always mean we should be the ones choosing.  We tell  God how He can help us. We instruct Him on how to get us back. There are conditions, and He is required to fill very single one.  But this is the worst possible way to go about our faith. It isn't even real faith.  You know better than I  You know the Way I let go the need to know why For You know better than I Because He truly does know better than us. He knows he plan. He has His reasons, and sometimes those reasons might seem like the most tragic t

Let Him Steal Our Show

Let Him Steal Our Show By Ava Grace If You wanna steal my show I'll sit back and watch You go If You got somthin' to say Go on and take it away Need You to steal my show Can't wait to watch You go So take it away This is Steal My Show my TobyMac. I love this song because it shows us how much of the fame we take for ourselves. We really need to sit back and let God go. We are so used to having talent- we all have it, because God gave it to us -but we forget that  He gave it to us, and we forget to give Him the credit that He deserves.  He should be the One that we say the first thing about. When we are showing or telling people about something that we've done, we always point everything back at ourselves. We take all the pleasure and glory that our God given  gifts bring to us, and we need to remember that God gave us these things- and He can take them away.  So join with me and let us together give all the glory back to God. He deserves it wayyyy more than we do. After

The Lord Is Our Lighthouse

The Lord Is Our Lighthouse By Ava Grace  Today's song is My Lighthouse by Rend Collective: My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse Shining in the darkness, I will follow You My Lighthouse, my Lighthouse I will trust the promise You will carry me safe to shore These words remind us that God is our Lighthouse. Even in our darkest hour- even when all hope seems to be lost, the love and light that our Lord has for us will lead us safely to shore. We can trust Him, and we know that He will lead us home.  Even when the walls come crashing in. Even when the sun is falling down. Even when everyone around us is turned against us, God is always for us. He is behind us and in front of us. He is all around us, making sure that we will forever see His face and His glory.  We have a wonderful home to come to if we just follow that Light. The greatest Light that can penetrate any wall of shadows. If we follow it, and let it guide us, it will  bring us safely back to shore- back home.  Back to our loving Fat

Through Him We Have Strength

Through Him We Have Strength By Ava Grace  Our strength comes not from us, but from the One Who created us. We have no power in this world. We are weak men with weak souls. Nothing that we do comes from our own strength, but from Him. The song Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me, by City Alight goes like this: What gift of grace is Jesus my Redeemer There is no more for heaven now to give He is my Joy, my Righteousness and Freedom My steadfast Love, my deep and boundless Peace To this I hold, my Hope is only Jesus For my life is wholly bound to His Oh how strange and divine I can sing all is mine Yet not I but through Christ in me This first verse and chorus tells us that nothing that we could possibly do comes from us. Yes, we might say we do great things, but is this from our own accord? Surely not! All the strength that we might ever have comes from the only One Who can give it to us.  We do not save souls; we merely make known the saving grace by which we are saved to unbelievers.
